The Friends of the Palo Alto Library are sponsoring a number of events this week, all of which can be found on the Palo Alto Reads blog. There are book discussions, free events and a talk with the author, Bo Caldwell. If you haven't joined the celebration, now is your chance!

Historian Connie Young Yu is the author of "Chinatown, San Jose, USA", and has written extensively on Asian American history. Meimei Pan will share stories and memorabilia of her parents’ experiences in, and eventual escape from Shanghai. (The photo above is from her collection.)
