Here is an interesting article that contains six techniques for getting more results from online searching. Armed with this information, you will become a better searcher. Google is a wonderful source, but there are gems out there even they can't find.
I am fond of the last technique - go to the library!

Good article. Beaucoup has too many dead or incorrect links, though. I like the language tools, very helpful.
More commentary: The woman from Simmons makes a great point about the, let's say, uneveness of Wikipedia's coverage. I quite agree that it's a useful, often excellent resource, but caveat lector.
